Rajasthan offers a veriety of adventure sports for the enthusiasts. They include trekking, water sports, angling, parasailing and horse, camel and bike safaris.

Horse Safari

Horse Safari is organised by some private tour operators. The Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation organises a Safari (4 days) on request which starts from Jaipur.

Camel Safari

The safari is organised to take one through the golden sands of the vast Thar desert and untamed countryside. The rolling landscape of the sand an shrub covered area is breathtakingly beautiful and the range of flora and fauna surprisingly large for desert area. RTDC arranges a camel safari on request from Delhi and Jaipur during Nagaur Fair and desert festival.

Trekking

The topography of Rajasthan that varies from sand-dunes of the desert to the lofty hill ranges of the Aravallis makes Rajasthan a trekker’s paradise. The best time for trekking in Rajasthan is from November to February.

Water Sports

The lakes of Rajasthan are known for water sports.Throughout the year, water sports of all kinds can be arranged here. Facilities for swimming, boating etc. are available. Boating is a regular feature, conducted by trained RTDC staff. Rajasthan also offers angling sites in Bharatpur, Alwar, Mansarover near Sariska, Kukas and Jaipur. But the anglers should carry their own equipment and obtain permission from the Fisheries Department.

Parasailing

Parasailing and ballooning are annual events held in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Pushkar and attract a large number of tourists and adventure seekers.
